Fresh off the workbench! 3.25" Beaded Hoop Earring in Navajo Flat Weave... Made by Laverne Tsosie and Joseph Edward Lucio. Laverne is a Navajo Beader and Silversmith - member of Navajo Nation. Joseph is a third generation beader, Mexican Aztec. These hand loomed earrings are woven on secure white metal earring hoops. Very light and comfortable to wear - with great visual impact and style.
Laverne, as a third generation Navajo beader and silversmith, mixes old vintage style beading with contemporary techniques. Most earrings have symbolic meaning, for all Native American tribes... the dragon fly, NN flag and Native American textiles are among the symbols .
Joseph is a third generation beader, on the Mexican Aztec side of his family... his designs are both historically significant and abstract... his use of color is mesmerizing! Inspired greatly by Aztec and N.A. textiles, serapes and indigenous symbolism.
Hoop is very sturdy and made with white metal findings. OOAK
